There is a security feature built into Outlook Express (version 6) which prevents many from being able to open attachments.   When attempting to open an email with a yellow bar across it which states, “Outlook Express removed access to the following unsafe attachments in your email: file_name1, file_name2”

 To correct the problem, follow the steps below:

1.  Open Outlook Express

2.  On the menu, select TOOLS and OPTIONS

3.  Select the SECURITY tab

4.  Uncheck the box (by clicking the checkmark) reading “Do not allow attachments to be saved or    opened that could potentially be a virus”

5.  Select OK , ( Keep in mind by doing this you could get a potential virus on your computer by downloading and saving attachments after you do this option, so use with caution)
